Truthfully, the backgrounds don't take long...they actually take longer to dry than they do to paint. Some I like just the way they come out but putting a finishing touch on them is time consuming too...and I want each one different and unique!
This is what my kitchen looks like right now and it will till I am done. Aren't I lucky to live alone with the dog? She's getting used to me sitting at the table for hours.
It takes about an hour just to glue the roping around the edge of wood...
but I like the finished look this has. At the end of the rope ends, I glued them and a shell to each end to finish it... and I glued some shells and a bit of moss (in a shell) to the island. I wish I could think of something for coconuts!

with all the shells, good deserted island! |
Somewhere I have a pink feather that I want to snip for the top of the head... I like the way this lie looks as a trim but one is not enough...and I painted flip flops on the flamingo! SO, to be continued!
I'm trying to figure out how to finish off the canvas boards and attach something to hang it with. Honey bunches of Oats is my snack!
I took a walk to the dumpster earlier and came back with a resin chair that I will paint also and sell at the craft fair and some branches!
and was still trying to figure out how to finish off the canvas boards.... and it all continues.
Have a great day!
I love it! Keeping busy as a bee, I see! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Deb!! It is good to be busy, at least for me, but I really need to do some other things too...like clean! LOL and then I pick up a paint brush again!
