I could, can and have spent all day long, posting, re-posting, reading, sharing, and adding to my list of to-do's the wonderful things I find on Facebook, Pinterest and the many great blogs. I just get lost. Many times one click leads to another click... to another... do you know what I mean??
So I have decided to STOP and finish up some uncompleted projects, clean up and put away and find homes for stuff, get organized and then:
work on that kitchen table that is sitting on the patio distracting from me making my outside oasis.
So for this week, I am going to turn off the laptop, take it room by room, and if I am awake, check in with everyone after dinner...
unless of course I am watching:
- The Voice
- The Scandal
- Missing
- Criminal Minds
Yes! I so do know what you mean. I do the same thing. I set aside a time that I will NOT allow myself to get on the computer. We have to be disciplined. And time on the computer is one of the major areas that needs discipline and control. My thinking is that it is too easy to get wrapped up in things outside my 'self'. At 60,late in life, I am having to force myself to let 'me' be the center of my focus, and it's not easy to do. So yes, obey your STOP sign for the week, and let yourself enjoy "doing" instead of "reading". Best of luck getting your outside oasis completed! That is indeed a top priority! I've always needed my 'outside space set up and ready to use first, no matter what else needed doing in my home. It's like my foundation. You can do this!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, Thank you so much for all your words of encouragement. I am so glad someone understands...at 56, I'm learning "it's ok".
DeleteHave a wonderful day!
